So I bought Wayxin R9 two years ago. It held with flying colours for its price, but after 2 years and about 20000 km, one from twinpack is dead and the other has rapidly decreasing battery life.
Wayxin R9 actually costs really not much. It can connect up to 4 riders and I tested it with friends with Interphone Tour and it works very good, after some experimenting with pairing and which buttons to use.
Now after two years, a charging port got broken in one of them. In second one battery gets shorter. In general it has 9-12 hour battery life. It works both as an intercom, but also you can listen to music, but not at the same time and not from one source. Each user must have connected own music device.
Charging takes few hours. Range is really around a kilometer of direct sight, with curves it is still like half km, depending on conditions. Power button long push is for turning on/off, short voice tells you roughly battery. Volume buttons with double push switch also tracks if player is connected (I used spotify most often). Then there are mystical A and B rider buttons. With those you pair with other devices and connect. You press long and one rider gets "pairing" other pushes once more for "searching" and it works quite easy.
Intercom after turning on pairs straight with phone, but not with other intercom. I pressed the A or B button once (depending if A or B was paired with my pillion) and it makes beeps and pips and then it just connects. Long pres of both A and B resets the memory (allegedly).
Microphone is quite good and headphones if installed under fitting of helmet are not very loud, it would be good if there would be possible to have them somehow near to ear.
Overall, even for 2 years of life it is good thing to buy. It might last longer if one takes more care of it, but on my adventure bike gentle caring of intercom is not a priority.
